Lasting Powers of Attorney

If you believe there may become a time when you will be unable to manage your own affairs you can appoint attorneys to look after both your financial affairs and your personal welfare.

There are now two types of Lasting Power of Attorney, one dealing with property and financial matters and the other dealing with personal welfare, including what type of medical treatment you wish to receive. We will guide you through the many options available and provide advice where needed so that you can be sure you have the best arrangements in place for your particular situation.

With both types of Power,  you will need a certificate provider to confirm that you have fully understood the implications of the document.  We are happy to act as certificate provider for both types of LPA.

Before they can be used both types of LPA need to be registered with the Office of the Public Guardian.  We can deal with registration for you so that you can be certain that you can use the documents at any time should they be needed.
