The Solicitors

The Right Lawyer for the Job

It is important, particularly in financial terms, to get the right person to do a particular job.

So not everyone at RDG is a solicitor and there are various levels of experience, qualifications and specialisation within the staff. We match our people with the particular job in hand, and the amount you have to pay varies accordingly.

Partner
A senior, qualified solicitor who is a part owner of the firm.

Associate
A senior, qualified solicitor with particular expertise in one or more areas of the law, generally qualified over 4 years.

Assistant Solicitor
A fully qualified solicitor.

Trainee Solicitor
A solicitor who has passed all the Law Society's exams and is undertaking 2 years of practical training before becoming fully qualified.

Legal Executive
A highly trained lawyer who have has passed all the examinations set by the Institute of Legal Executives.

Legal Clerk
(or para-legal) not qualified but experienced in particular aspects of the law. (This includes trainee legal executives).

All junior staff work under the supervision of a partner, or an  associate.
