Fixed Fees

We operate a fixed fee scheme which allows you to consult a solicitor for half an hour for a nominal fee. This is an initial consultation during which you can find out if we can help in your particular circumstances. If we can help, normal fees apply from then on . Where possible we will provide you with an estimate of the cost of taking or defending legal action.

"After the Event" Insurance
This funding is available for certain types of civil litigation. If you have a good case it provides funding to help win the case and, if you lose, it pays your own and your opponent's legal costs. Using this system you may not have to pay any of your legal costs until the case is over. If you win all or most of your costs will be met by your opponent. If you lose then your insurance will pay for them.

The strength of your case is the most important aspect of this type of insurance. Individual applications are assessed on their merits. If we think you have a good case we can make the application for you.

You may also be offered the option of taking out a low cost loan to pay for the premium and disbursements as they occur, such as medical report fees or barrister's fees.

Cover may be provided for personal injury claims, contract disputes and professional negligence actions. It is not usually available for clients who are defending a claim, matrimonial matters, defamation, Employment Tribunals, neighbour disputes or criminal matters.

Conditional Fee Agreements
In certain cases we are able to take your case on a "no win, no fee" basis. If your case is one to which this arrangement may apply we can provide you with further information when we have assessed your case. However, you should be aware that an insurance premium is normally payable and we are entitled to charge a "success fee" in these cases, which may have to be paid from your damages if you win.
